Baseball Rules
NO
TRANSACTION FEES.
Leagues:
AFANTASYGAME offers continuous Rotisserie style and Head to Head leagues.
There are 14 teams or less in each AFANTASYGAME Baseball league.
New Head to Head leagues for the 2006 season are 22 weeks followed by
4 weeks of playoffs.
Week 1: The top 3 teams from the regular season will earn a bye. Fourth Place vs
Ninth Place, Fifth Place vs Eighth Place, Sixth Place vs Seventh Place.
Week 2: The top 2 teams from the regular season will earn a bye. The Third Place team
from the regular season vs the lowest ranked winner from week 1, the next ranked teams
will play each other.
Week 3: The first place team from the regular season vs the lowest ranked winner
from Week 2, the second place team from the regular season vs the remaining winning team
from Week 2.
Week 4: The winners from Week 3 play each other to determine the Playoff Champion.
Trading:
- Unlimited
trading in all leagues.
- Trades
must be advised by both owners by 8 PM ET on Sunday to use the
players effective on Monday.
- Players
received in a trade & again traded before the commissioner reviews
the trades may lead to both deals being cancelled.
- All
trades are reviewed by the commissioner.
- Mega
league owners may only trade with teams within 5 places above and below during weeks 1-15, and
within 3 places of themselves (above and below) based on Monday's
standings from week 16 to the conclusion of trading.
- Teams may trade
end of season draft picks during the regular season.
- If an owner elects to
trade end of season draft picks during the regular season, a $25 non refundable deposit is
rerquired within 24 hours of the trade being completed. If the payment is not made the trade
will be cancelled.
- The
last day of trading is Friday September 9, 2006, with all trades
advised to the commissioner before 5 PM ET.
Free
Agent Drafts:
- Free
agent requests are due before 9 AM ET each Wednesday.
- A
maximum of 2 free agents may be drafted each week with rosters
being reduced to 27 players before 9 AM ET on Wednesday's.
- Players
are drafted in the reverse order of Monday standings.
- Players
are drafted at the position they played their most games at during the 2004 season.
- The
last regular season free agent draft is Wednesday September
13, 2006.
- Free
agent requests are due before 9 AM ET by email, fax or telephone on Wednesday's.
Lineups:
- Weekly
lineups consist of 16 players.
- One
player at each position, 2 DH's and ANY 6 pitchers
- Lineup
changes should be made by each owner BEFORE 12 NOON ET on Monday's
on your leagues stats league website.
- If
a lineup is not updated, the previous weeks lineup will be used.
- Owners
must play players only at positions listed on Rosters for Members and Rosters for Guests. Playing
injured players or minor league players is not allowed and may
result in being removed from AFANTASYGAME.
- Owners
will be responsible to update lineups after trades are made.
Rosters:
- Each
team may have a maximum of 27 players on their roster as of
9 AM ET on Wednesday's.
- No
duplication of players. Players may only be on one team.
Position
Eligibility:
- Player
positions are based on most games played at a position.
- During
the season a player may be eligible at more than one position
by playing at least 20 games at another position.
Multi Team Discounts:
Owners will receive multiple team discounts of $10 off per team, combining all
teams in all sports.
Refer a Friend:
Refer a friend and receive a $25 referral bonus for each person you refer to MHS Fantasy Sports.
Note
from the commissioner:
- All
team fees MUST be paid in FULL before the start of the season.
- If
an owner threatens an owner/owners or is disruptive to the league,
he/she may be removed from league and not be given a refund
of fees paid.
- Once
the season has begun there is no refund on fees paid.
- If a lawsuit is filed against AFANTASYGAME, the venue
for any lawsuit must be filed in Broward County, Florida.
Cash prizes will be paid within 2 weeks of the conclusion of
the major league baseball season.
There is a $20 fee if the bank returns a check.
